Mardi Himal Trek is one of the newest trekking trails in Nepal Annapurna region, which was opened for tourism in 2012. Here often called a ‘hidden gem’ trek for it offers a peaceful escape from the popular, more crowded Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The trail will give you amazing experience of closer look at Machhapuchhre (Fishtail, 6,993m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Mardi Himal (5,587) meter.
Hikers journey through thick rhododendron forests, high alpine ridges and real Gurung and Magar villages, so this hike is not just here to experience nature but also a cultural fair. The Mardi Himal base camp (4500m) is the highest point of the trek and provides majestic panoramic views of Annapurna range.
Mardi Himal Trek is a short and sweet trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal with breathtaking views of Mt Machhapuchhre, Mt Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. It is also called “Off beaten path trek” of popular Annapurna Base Camp Trek but that’s quite an easy trekking trail, we follow through forested glades to Ghorepani, rhododendron hills and across high meadows with a distant backdrop of the high mountains.
